Ant has over 20 years senior leadership experience, having held multiple senior roles in IT, Product Development, Operations, Manufacturing, Sales, Supply Chain, and Quality at Fisher & Paykel Appliances (one of the world’s most innovative appliance companies, with a presence in over 50 countries globally). His unique mix of Business Strategy & Execution, Technical, and Leadership skills, and a career which has given him both breadth & depth, has enabled him and his teams to deliver some outstanding results.
Ant believes strongly in the power of teams, technology, innovation, and having a deep focus on customers in order to deliver them exceptional business outcomes. To achieve this, his style of involving, inspiring and engaging, enables teams to deliver those results.
Ant was appointed to the role of CEO for Fronde in December 2015.
Managing Director Fronde Australia
Don McLean has vast experience in the IT & Telecoms industry across sales, marketing, technical and management functions. He has worked across Europe and Asia and successfully built businesses from start-up to multi-million dollar revenues, including companies that have featured in the BRW Fast 100.
As the former co-founder of Fronde’s acquired cloud design and integration business, OnlineOne, Don has been delivering cloud-based business systems for over 10 years in the areas of accounting, distribution, e-commerce and collaboration through the cloud enterprise resource planning tool, NetSuite. Don also sits as a member of NetSuite's Business Partner Advisory Council (BPAC), and actively represents Australia and New Zealand NetSuite partners in this strategic business forum.
Don has a BSc(Hons) in Computing Science, University of Stirling and a MBA from Manchester Business School.
General Manager, People & Culture
Career HR professional, Jan Mottram, has the executive-level role of GM People and Culture at Fronde.
Jan is a seasoned HR professional, who joins Fronde from Vodafone, where she had 20 years of experience in senior HR roles within the company, and was most recently Human Resources Director for Vodafone Qatar. Prior to joining Vodafone Jan worked in a variety of industries - information technology, financial services and manufacturing, and in 2002 was awarded "HR Person of the Year" by the professional HR body in New Zealand.
Jan is responsible for developing and implementing Fronde's people and culture strategy to support its' business goals. In particular, she is responsible for culture, employee satisfaction, performance management, talent management, recruitment, learning and development, leadership development, remuneration and health and safety.
Jan has a B.Sc degree in Microbiology from Bristol University in the UK.
General Manager, NZ Customer Delivery and Success
Peter is General Manager, NZ Customer Delivery and Success, the business division which is dedicated to delivering Fronde's solutions and services to its customers, helping them to be successful.
Peter is passionate about being customer centric, and believes customers should be the centre of every business. Peter will focus on making the customer's experience the best possible through Fronde's attitude, skill, outcomes focus and ease of delivery.
Although he started his working life as a secondary school teacher of Mathematics, Peter now has more than 26 years' experience in the ICT industry in New Zealand and Australia, including roles as NZ General Manager of Novell, Director of Services at Computerland, General Manager Gen-i Solutions Delivery, CEO at Zintel Group, and most recently General Manager Business Technology Services at Fronde.
Peter holds an MSc (Hons) degree and Diploma in Teaching from the University of Auckland, along with a Graduate Diploma in Family and Couple Counselling.
General Manager, Sales & Marketing
Mike first got involved in selling and marketing over thirty years ago and since then has had vast experience in multiple roles across various industries. Including a number of sales and marketing leadership roles in the business to business (B2B) field.
He is known for his strategic and lateral thinking abilities and over the last three years has been researching latest trends and how both sales and marketing approaches need to evolve to meet the ever changing global digital environment.
His particular focus is on how to differentiate in a commodity based world where the proliferation of products and customer choice now dominates the business landscape.
Chief Technology Officer
James Valentine is one of Australasia's leading experts in cloud computing, specialising in complex cloud-centric solutions and is a passionate advocate for the benefits that cloud computing offers.
James joined Fronde in 2004 where he now holds an executive position leading Fronde's technology vision to its customers and staff. He has architected and project managed numerous solutions across a range of technologies and platforms for various organisations.
Previously James worked in the United Kingdom as a Development Manager and Technical Architect; and as a consultant for Accenture in Wellington. James has a Bachelor of Technology from Massey University in Manufacturing and Industrial Technology.
Chief Commercial Officer
Emma Watson has broad executive experience in General Management, Finance and Strategy roles within multi-nationals and SME's alike.
Previous executive roles include Asia Pacific Director - Strategy, Innovation and Technology, for Wolters Kluwer responsible for M&A, strategic planning, innovation and customer experience initiatives; and Managing Director of CCH New Zealand Ltd.
A UK qualified Chartered Accountant, Emma has also held senior finance roles in a range of professional services, publishing and software development companies. She is responsible for ensuring that Fronde has an aligned commercial and financial strategy to deliver on its strategic growth plans, improve business performance and manage risk. Emma is also a Board Member of the Marketing Association.
